Thornton & Ross (T&R), part of the STADA group, has been named among the winners of the prestigious Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards 2020.

We were named Business of the Year in the category for companies with a turnover of more than £50m.

The ceremony was held online for the first time, with Mark Kirkup, vice-president for UK operations, ‘collecting’ the award via video link on behalf of T&R.

Speakers at the fully digital event, hosted by BBC TV presenter Harry Gration, included Shadow Business Secretary Ed Miliband and Griselda Togobo, CEO of Forward Ladies.

T&R was also shortlisted for the Manufacturer of the Year Award while Mark was a finalist in the Business Leader of the Year category.

Mark commented: “We are delighted to have been named the winner of the award for companies with a turnover of more than £50m. This accolade recognises the hard work of our entire team in what has been a challenging year for everyone.”
